About Me

I was originally saved when I was in my teens, I belonged to Portadown Christian Centre pastored by George and Irene Elliot. This was during the days of the Toronto Blessing, our pastors went over to it and when they came back to the church the Ruach Ha Kodesh fell like a thick weighty presence of Yahveh, it was literally like the church was on fire and the dross of sin got burned up in the glory. I then learned how to speak in tongues, Wow! this was an amazing time to be in church. Then whenever I turned 17 I backslid, at 18 I had a horrific car accident, which left me paralysed from the shoulders down. So then I had to go through several years of operations to fix everything, thankfully it wasn’t long after that, maybe a few years, that I and my wife got together and who I have now been married to for 14 years. She is my everything. My wife has four beautiful children and we have six very much loved grandchildren. They keep us busy but we love it. A few years after that my Granny Cahoon passed away which was the catalyst for both me and my wife getting saved. Things have got a bit harder for me over the years and I don’t get out to church as much as I would like but the fire that was first ignited in me is still burning strong, my love for Yahveh and Yeshua Ha Machiach and the Ruach Ha Kodesh is greater now than it has ever been because He is faithful that promised. The next piece is a poem I wrote not long after my accident……” The story goes I was just eighteen. When my body was left there at the scene. The car was a wreck it had gone up in flames, at first I was the one that everyone blamed. The whole country thought that I was driving to their own conclusions they were arriving but the truth is that the police man who pulled me out said that it couldn’t have been me and there was no doubt. So I had been left for dead but I wasn’t dead I was disabled instead paralysed from the shoulders down and told I was lucky that I even come round. Though I don’t call this lucky this life that I am in for someone to think that they would be dim, I just try to make life as good as I can it’s all I can manage as I’m only a man”. ……..so I’m sure you want to know my reason for starting this website it is to share my faith with as many people as possible I hope you enjoy my future posts. 

My ministry on www.garethcahoon.co.uk Is going to be focused on The Jewish Roots of my Christian Faith focusing on Israel, the Biblical Feasts and Revival and most of all winning souls for His glory and making the names of Yahveh, Yeshua Ha Machiach and the Ruach Ha Kodesh famous and for not my will to be done but His. The five subjects I will most focus on are His Land, His Torah, His Feasts, His Name and His People. Shalom!!! Maranatha!!!
